Description:
Participants are expected to spend a total of 10 weeks in the program. During the first weeks you will be trained at San Francisco State University or the University of South Carolina. Then, you will have the opportunity to participate in a collaborative research project between academia and industry. Formal training, workshops, technical tours and local cultural activities will also be part of the program.

Support for the program is provided by the National Science Foundation. This includes a stipend of $5,000 and supports to travel to the program and to a domestic conference to present the research findings. Housing will be provided by the hosting institution.
