Note: this opportunity encourages applications from community college students.Description: Fellows come from universities across Texas and the United States to spend ten weeks in laboratories at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin. The goal of the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is to introduce the next generation of scientists to laboratory, translational and clinical research, and to spark an interest in a future cancer-related career.
Fellows work full time for 10 weeks from May to Aug.
Fellows get a stipend of $3,000, paid in two installments of 50 percent through direct deposit as they complete the program.
