Note: this opportunity encourages applications from community college students.Description: The Geo-Launchpad Program (GLP) is a paid summer internship program open to community college students that have an interest in geoscience. No research experience required!!
Geo-Launchpad provides community college students an opportunity to explore geoscience research and career pathways, meet other students and professionals in the field, grow skills in professional development, and develop research-ready skills.
In addition to a paid weekly stipend ($720/week), GLP provides free shared housing and travel to project location if needed. The program also provides funding for students to travel and present their work at a national science conference following the completion of the summer internship.
What is geoscience? Geoscience includes atmospheric science, anthropology, chemistry, earth science, engineering, environmental science, geography, geology, hydrology, mineralogy, paleontology, physics, technology, etc.
