Note: this opportunity encourages applications from community college students.Description: The NIH Research Internship provides training and experience in biomedical and behavioral research for 6 students per year. The paid Internship lasts for two full years, one at Front Range Community College and one at Colorado State University. Interns receive training workshops at FRCC to prepare them for undergraduate research in the summer before transfer.
After transfer to CSU, Interns receive academic support, participate in a learning community, and continue research. Interns receive payment up to $40,000 over 24 months during the two-year program.
This Internship requires a large commitment from student Interns over a 24 month period. Having paid research experience is critical for students pursuing behavioral and biomedical fields such as psychology, biomedical engineering, health and exercise science, microbiology, medical school, pharmaceuticals, biology, neuroscience, and many other human health fields.
