Description: The Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is accepting applications for its T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Sciences. Applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis.
Our T32 postdoctoral training fellowship is designed to launch and sustain successful careers in cardiovascular research. The postdoctoral fellow will:
-Create and follow a personalized training plan.
-Be mentored by a team (choose from over 40 faculty mentors).
-Receive training in core competencies.
-Receive opportunities to apply each year for mini-grants ($5K-10K) to support preliminary studies for career development applications and/or up to $2K for optional 1-2 week sabbaticals to acquire new laboratory or professional skills.
The program provides up to 3 years of broad-based, personalized, supportive, and rigorous training in specific areas of scientific excellence in a highly-integrated research environment incorporating mentoring teams with access to an extensive research infrastructure at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Applicants should be highly-motivated, ambitious, productive, and have (or anticipate having) a PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO in a relevant research area such as biology, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or physiology.
Train in one of four major areas of expertise: Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis, & Vascular Biology; Cardiac Biology & Heart Failure; Hypertension; Cardio-Oncology.
