Academic Level: High School Students
Description: The MFOA Fellowship is a new scholarship opportunity for low-income students who demonstrate academic readiness for Mathcamp. It will be awarded to one or more students per year who are passionate about mathematics and would benefit from year-round support.There is no fee to apply.
The Fellowship includes:
-up to three years of full tuition and travel for attending Canada/USA Mathcamp
-year-round mentorship
-access to online math classes throughout high school.
To be considered for the Fellowship, the applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
-Grade level: Entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in the fall.
-Mathematics: Have completed a course in Precalculus or higher, and qualify for Mathcamp (via the Application for Admission).
-Income: Demonstrate unmet financial need (via the Application for Financial Aid). We will consider applicants with family income up to $80,000.
-Location: Reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.
All students in the U.S. are eligible to apply, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status. First preference is given to those who are in the first generation of their families to pursue higher education.
