Description:
The Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania seeks students for a Bridge Program to a Doctorate, a two-year research master’s (AM) degree program which provides advanced coursework, research experience, and mentorship to students from groups underrepresented among PhDs in Statistics and who need additional preparation for admission to a doctoral program. The program includes financial support (full tuition, stipend, and health benefits). Bridge Fellows will work with faculty on an individualized curriculum built around their interests and goals. Because of the mentorship and individualized curricula for Bridge Fellows, the cohort is small. Students must demonstrate a strong interest in research and a desire to earn a PhD. Therefore, faculty recommendations are a critical part of the evaluation of applicants.

There will be an informational webinar for interested students with Dr. Nancy Zhang, the Bridge Program Co-director in December. Registration for the webinar is required and will be available to students in Nov . Full details on the program and application process are available on the website.
