Academic Level: Graduate Students (PhD)
Description: The traineeship is a two-year program, which offers STEM Ph.D. students $34,000 assistantship, tuition, and healthcare for 12 months. Students should identify a major professor at Iowa State University. It is be expected that the major professor, at normal university rates, would provide funding for the remaining educational period. Applicants must be interested in Midwest issues around Food, Energy & Water Systems (FEWS). The scholarship is only available to students enrolled or are enrolling at Iowa State University.
Beyond their research, trainees will learn analytical skills such as data-driven decision modeling, social awareness within the complexities of the FEWS nexus, plus communication and professional skills. The traineeship complements the Ph.D.'s research emphasis around FEWS. Please visit our website for more information.
