Description:
IEH offers paid undergraduate internships headquartered at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Interns receive a stipend of $5,000 and out-of-state students may be eligible for additional housing support.

IEH considers applications from undergraduate freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and graduating seniors with backgrounds and majors in biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, environmental science, mathematics, physics, and others. Prior lab/field experience is of interest but not required. Our past interns have come from a wide range of geographic and academic backgrounds, and have worked collaboratively in several innovative projects.

IEH interns engage in leading-edge research to develop scientific understanding in environmental and biomolecular systems that elucidates environmental processes and their links to human health. Interns work closely with senior scientists, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate students on interdisciplinary projects, participate in a range of related activities including seminars on scientific themes, career opportunities and scientific ethics.
