Description:
The University of Maryland Center for Machine Learning has its distinguished Rising Stars in Machine Learning program, designed to support graduate students, postdocs, and junior industry researchers from underrepresented groups as they pursue new scientific discoveries and academic opportunities.

The workshop is held at the Brendan Iribe Center for Computer Science and Engineering, and will include a primary presentation by each Rising Star in Machine Learning, panel discussions, one-on-one meetings with faculty and students, and other activities. The University of Maryland Center for Machine Learning will cover all travel and lodging expenses for each Rising Star to attend the workshop, and provide them with an honorarium.
