Summer Research Experience for Colorado Community College Students

Undergraduate Students

Note: this opportunity encourages applications from community college students.

Description:
We are looking to recruit promising Colorado community college students for a paid summer research program in 2019 funded by the National Science Foundation. We will accept 10 students to work on independent research projects with a science mentor. Topics of research include Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Earth Science, Geology, Ecology, Geochemistry, Climate Science, and Geomorphology.

Students will receive:

*9 week student-generated research experience with a science mentor at CU, CIRES, or NOAA.

*$500 per week stipend for a total of $4500

*Training and support in scientific writing and communication, and technical skills

*Either a $50 per week gas stipend or housing for the summer

We want students from across Colorado - all four corners!
