Description:
The LS-PAC MODELS mentorship program is a nationwide opportunity, so anyone who belongs to a historically underrepresented group in STEM at an institution with an LSAMP program can participate.

The LS-PAC MODELS Center is committed to increasing diversity in STEM fields and supporting underrepresented students who are interested in pursuing STEM careers in academia. The LS-PAC MODELS program provides an opportunity for mentorship as well as professional development and a support network of peers and role models that can help guide you in achieving your career goals.

~As a participant, you will have the opportunity to:

~Be mentored by one or more STEM professionals who can help provide career guidance and skill development.

~Receive access to professional development courses designed to enhance your ability to obtain a career in academia.

~Meet and network with leading professionals in your field of interest to build career connections.

~Meet and network with other scholars within and outside of your field of interest.

~Be a mentor to graduate and undergraduate STEM students.

~Provide valuable data that will help increase the number of underrepresented STEM students entering into academic careers.

All of the above activities can be done virtually, so there is no need to relocate to be a part of this program.

There is no cost to participate in this program, as we are a Louis Stokes Regional Center of Excellence funded by the National Science Foundation. Applicants must currently pursuing degree or academic career in: physics, chemistry, biological sciences, mathematics, technology, engineering, neuroscience, or other NSF STEM-related field.
