Description: Harvard Business School's Institute for the Study of Business in Global Society (BiGS) is delighted to announce that we are now accepting applications for our next cohort of BiGS Fellows.
The BiGS Fellowship is a fully funded program designed to bring leading scholars to HBS's campus, where they will work on research linked to a broad array of issues that straddle the intersection of business and society.
This cohort will be devoted to scholars who focus on the intersection of business and climate change. BiGS Climate Fellows can hold appointments at any rank (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Post-Doctoral Fellow, etc.) and are expected to join us on HBS's campus for either one or two full academic years. During this time, HBS will reimburse the Fellow's home institution for their full-time salary. Fellows will of course have their own research agendas, but will also be expected to make a durable impact on the HBS and Harvard wide academic community studying business and climate change. In most cases, this interaction will take the form of working closely with at least one HBS faculty member to develop a new scholarly working paper, a managerial article, or educational material (such as a case or technical note) or by co-leading a short course.
We are particularly interested in hearing from scholars from diverse backgrounds and geographies and from those whose work focuses on decarbonization, adaptation and resilience, climate accounting and finance, climate tech and entrepreneurship, systems change, and energy transition.
