About us
The Woods Hole Partnership Educational Program (PEP) is designed primarily for college juniors and seniors who want to spend a summer gaining practical experience in marine and environmental science. The program consists of a four-week course and a six-to-ten week research project - all in the sea-side village of Woods Hole.
PEP is designed for college students majoring in the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, or geosciences and earth system sciences) or engineering and economics, who have had some course work in oceanography, biology, or marine and/or environmental science. PEP welcomes applications from students of all backgrounds. Students from groups under-represented in marine and environmental sciences are especially encouraged to apply - this includes African American, Hispanic, Native American, Alaska Natives, and Asian Pacific Island students.
