About us
Students spend 10-12 weeks working on frontier chemical and materials science research projects under the guidance of faculty members and graduate student mentors to sharpen scientific skills, develop collaborations with scientists abroad, and experience the life and culture of a foreign country.
Up to 5 students from the United States will be selected to conduct research in Singapore at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Applicants have the opportunity to choose between three laboratory projects, working closely with NUS professors over the course of the summer. The entire program will be conducted in English.
This program is only for U.S. undergraduate students enrolled at a U.S. institution. Students must be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Students do not need to be a member of ACS nor is membership status a criterion used in judging applicants.
**NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National University of Singapore (NUS) is unable to accommodate students from the United States in 2021. We hope to resume this valuable cooperation with NUS in 2022.
