What You'll Do
As a trainee, you will apply the latest Machine Learning techniques to chemical data sets while collaborating directly with students from computer science, chemistry and chemical engineering. The results of your research will drive data-led breakthroughs in important areas, like transforming carbon dioxide into fuels, fibers, paints, plastics and so on.
Who We're Looking For
Talented master?s or Ph.D.-seeking students in computer science, chemical engineering and chemistry are encouraged to join our inclusive and diverse team. We value strong communicators with excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Computer science majors are not required to have prior experience in chemical research.
What We Offer
You will get 1-year of specialized training with an option for a second year to delve deeper into your project as an "Enterprising Trainee". You will gain professional growth to build skills to be successful in data-driven discovery, one of today's most exciting and promising careers. U.S. citizens and permanent residents will earn an attractive stipend of $34,000/year and optional graduate certificate. International students are also welcome to participate with funds from other sources.
