In this program, you'll join the MathQuantum research training group at UMD College Park for 8 weeks in summer. You'll engage in a mentored research project and learn knowledge and skills needed to enter research in QIS.
Topics include quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography, and quantum dynamics/systems. Math used includes algebra/representation theory, nonlinear analysis, partial differential equations, scientific computing and stochastic analysis.
What will you get?
- $5,200 stipend for 8 weeks
- Housing at UMD College Park campus
- Funds to travel to and from UMD for summer
- Up to $1,000 conference attendance funding
- Mentored research and interdisciplinary training in applying mathematics to QIS problems
