Description:
This award provides funds for junior physiologists to attend and participate fully in the Experimental Biology meeting. The tum Suden award is granted to as many as 50 male or female ethnic or racial minority graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.

No citizenship requirements. To be considered for the award, the candidate must be the first author of an EB abstract submitted to APS and MUST be a member of APS (either student or regular) at the time of application. Trainees are only allowed to receive the award once as a graduate student and once as a postdoctoral fellow.

The top applicant will be designated as the Fleur L. Strand Awardee and the top two underrepresented minority applicants will be designated as the Steven M. Horvath Awardees.
