Description: Between four and eight paid interns are selected each year to work on a pre-defined project relevant to DataONE. These projects are designed by members of the DataONE team and projects cover a range of topic areas and vary in the extent and type of prior background required of the intern. Interns are paired with one primary mentor and, in some cases, secondary and tertiary mentors. Interns may be located remotely to their mentors although interns and mentors are expected to have a face-to-face meeting at the beginning of the summer, and interns are encouraged to attend the DataONE All-Hands Meeting in the fall to present the results of their work.
