Description:
We are pleased to invite eligible undergraduates to apply for support through the Illinois Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program funded by the National Science foundation. This program assists universities and colleges in their efforts to significantly increase the numbers of students matriculating into and successfully completing high quality degree programs in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines in order to diversify the STEM workforce.

Established in 1993, the Illinois Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (ILSAMP) is focused on the goal of increasing the number of underrepresented minorities receiving undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). ILSAMP represents the Illinois branch of the National Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program, which consists of a consortium of thirteen (13) institutions. Chicago State University is the lead institution.
