Carmen's ResumeI have always being interested in marine sciences. Today, I am studying toward a PhD in Biological Oceanography at Old Dominion University. I have a master's degree in Biological Oceanography from UPR-Mayaguez and bachelor's degree in Coastal Marine Biology from UPR-Humacao. My immediate plans are to complete my PhD and then become an environmental sciences college professor and continue with an active research program in ecology and remote sensing. At the moment I am increasing my intellectual and professional abilities working on the ecophysiology laboratory with Dr. Richard C. Zimmerman. As natural sciences student I have high goals that require a lot of effort and my main professional goal is to finish my degree. I would like to focus on marine seagrass ecophysiology using remote sensing technology. I consider myself responsible, perseverant, dedicated, and committed to research.
