Vivian's ResumeWhitney coordinates process documentation for the NASA OSSI project and Logic Model development for select Lines of Business within the Office of Education's new Portfolo. She previously served as Director of the Institute for Environmental Sciences Education and grants research specialist at East Central University. She also served as president of the Council on Grantsmanship and Research, a state-wide collaboration of research administrators from each of Oklahoma's Regional Universities. Whitney is certified as a research administrator by the Research Administrators Certification Council. She is also a certified trainer and facilitator in total quality management, school development, site-based management and leadership development. Dr. Whitney, who has served as evaluator and professional development specialist for the Minorities Striving and Pursuing Higher Degrees of Success (MS PHD’S) in Earth System Science mentoring initiative, holds an EdD from University of Houston in Higher Education Administration and Supervision, and an MA from Southern Methodist University in African American Studies/Modern European Studies. Her BS from University of Texas-Dallas is in Interdisciplinary Studies-Human Development. Additionally, she holds several certificates including Family and Individual Counseling, Leadership Development, Site-Based Management, and Research Administration.
