Nelson Ting

The New York Consortium in Evolutionary Primatology
City University of New York (CUNY), Graduate Center


Nelson is a graduate student in Anthropology at CUNY. He is a member of the NYU Molecular Primatology Lab. He received his B.A. in 1999 from Washington University and his M.A. in 2001 from the University of Missouri. His dissertation title is “Molecular Systematics of Red Colobus Monkeys.” His research interests include: Primate evolutionary history, primate conservation (especially of the Colobinae); conservation genetics; molecular primatology; biogeography.
