Arun Maiya

Computational Transportation Science
University of Illinois, Chicago


Arun is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from DePaul University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His general research interests include algorithms as applied to networks, wireless ad hoc networks, and social network analysis. He is currently investigating decentralized trust computation in ad hoc networks using reputation-based mechanisms. Prior to joining the IGERT program, Arun held several technical positions in industry including tenures at an internet registry operator and a telecommunications company. He is being advised by Professor Tanya Berger-Wolf and Professor Aris Ouksel.
