Ranko Heindl

Ranko Heindl received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics in December 2006 at the University of South Florida. Working under Dr. Hariharan Srikanth in the Functional Materials Laboratory, the title of his dissertation was “Ferrite-Ferroelectric Thin Films with Tunable Electrical and Magnetic Properties”.

Ranko’s research included synthesis and characterization of ferrite and ferroelectric materials, electromagnetic properties of materials at rf/mw frequencies, as well as applications of microwaves in bio-medical sciences. In Spring 2007, he joined the National Institutes of Standards (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado as a National Research Council (NRC) postdoctoral fellow.
