Christy Field
Applied Mathematics and Earth & Environmental Sciences IGERTColumbia University
New York, NY Christy Field is a graduate student in the Department of Earth and Environmental Studies. Her research focuses on assessing the usefulness of the cosmogenic isotope beryllium-10 as a proxy for solar irradiance changes. By using the Goddard Institute for Space Studies ModelE general circulation model, she hopes to develop a better understanding of how climate-related and production-related changes in the isotope record can be calibrated to solar climate forcings.
In addition to unravelling the mysteries of beryllium-10, Christy loves cooking and baking, exploring New York and playing tennis if the weather's nice.
