Robert Earle

Ecosystem Restoration through Interdisciplinary Exchange (ERIE) IGERT
State University of New York (SUNY), Buffalo

Born and raised in a small town in Iowa, Robert moved to St. Louis in 2002, where he received a BA in Philosophy, a BA in English, and a minor in Classical Studies from the University of Missouri St. Louis. In 2006, he moved to Buffalo to pursue a PhD in SUNY Buffalo's Department of Philosophy. Currently in his third year of research, Robert’s dissertation topic is related to aesthetic appreciation of nature and the interplay between the philosophical study of language and the communicative components of artworks and restored ecosystems. Since becoming an ERIE IGERT trainee, Robert’s research has already benefited greatly from the interdisciplinary interactions and collaborations with graduate students and professors from across the university.
