Marvin is a second-year student at Rice University. He received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in chemical engineering. Marvin’s advisor is Dr. Enrique Barrera, and he is currently working on an evaporation system that deposes of magnetic ultra-thin film materials. These thin films will be vital in the development of Smartcard applications. This system will also be used to develop heat-activated ultra-thin film Shape-Memory Alloy materials for bio-medical applications. (Rice University, 2006)
