Curran Chandler

Nanoscale Device Development
University of Massachusetts, Amherst

I received my B.S. in Polymer Science from the Univ. of Southern Mississippi in 2000. In my time there I worked under Prof. Charles Hoyle studying UV-initiated thiol-ene polymerizations. I am currently a 2nd year graduate student in the Dept. of Polymer Science & Engineering working for Prof. James Watkins. My current research is concerned with the fabrication & characterization of thin silica films containing ordered, nanoscale channels for use in biosensors. More specifically, I will be studying the effect of supercritical CO2 processing on the behavior of both the block copolymer templates and the silica films.
