» Jorge's Resume

Past Research: In 2004, I was trying to model carbon flux using a systemodynamic approach in seagrass beds in the east of Puerto Rico. I also worked in a field research with commercial fishermen about their knowledge of marine ecosystems as well as a research about bait species used in the recreational fisheries in Puerto Rico.

Current Research: I'm currently working with integrated aquaculture, especially fish nutrition, trying to use natural production of earthen ponds as feed for the fishes. Also I'm trying to do an eco-friendly system, minimizing waste disposals and recycling of nutrients.

Future Research: Expand my horizons in the field of integrated aquaculture, creating new methods of minimizing waste production and maximize recycling of nutrients.

Hobbies: SCUBA Diving, photography, sports, fishing.
