Astrobiology IGERT
University of Washington
Seattle, WA

I am a first year graduate student in the Earth and Space Sciences Department interested in the topics of habitable planets and the conditions under which such planets form. The Astrobiology Program is ideal for my interdisciplinary interests, which range from microbiology on the small end to astronomy on the large.

Specifically, I am interested in the detection of habitable planets in other planetary systems and the search for biosignatures within planetary atmospheres. I have just started working in the Space Physics group with Professor Walter Harris on the structure and evolution of the comas and dust tails of active comets.
