Jessica Brinkworth

The New York Consortium in Evolutionary Primatology

Jessica is a PhD student in Anthropology at CUNY. She received her BA in 1998 from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Ontario), and her MS in 2000 from the University of Toronto. Her dissertation topic is “Chimpanzee Immunodeficiency virus Co-evolution and Toll-Like Receptor mediated Resistance to AIDS Pathogenesis.” Her research interests include Evolutionary immunology; chimpanzee/human genetic divergence; host-pathogen co-evolution; primate pathogens; HIV/SIV; proteomics.
