Chris Brehme

Chris Brehme is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire.

In 2009, Brehme earned a PhD in Geography with an emphasis in Geographic Information Science from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. His research interests are in GIScience, spatial cognition, and rural sustainability.

Since 1997, he has led projects that established GIS capacity in small communities, modeled human modifications of estuarine environments, and integrated fisheries and oceanographic data to promote marine science education. His current research includes an examination of the spatial behavior of US and Australian lobster fishers and contribution of data to a model of spatial interaction between lobster gear and endangered whales in the Gulf of Maine.
